Go get ’em, Carl. I’ve not received the letter but reading the above I think it is low and mean of the Labour party to smear your name and your enthusiasm.

    Yep…things are hotting up alright!

Judging by the hysterical response from yourself, it would appear that our recent Labour News leaflet has clearly struck a nerve. Tell us Mr Cashman, which of the following statements is a lie?

Mr Cashman, you had pictures taken of yourself and young children and posted them on the internet for your own political ends. True or False Mr Cashman?

Mr Cashman, you mislead people in to believing that a referendum can be held to take Whiston out of Knowsley. There is no mechanism for such an action. True or False Mr Cashman?

Mr Cashman, you wildly overestimated the cost to Knowsley of the new Christ the King Learning Centre. Some simple research would have revealed the real cost. True or False Mr Cashman?

Three Lib-Dem councillors have recently defected to Labour. True or False Mr Cashman?

It was not a personal but a political attack on Mr Cashman

On the subject of a mechanism to take whiston or any other town/village away from its borough then there may not be a mechanism in place yet but there is nothing to stop a challenge ,after all if we do not challenge the boundries then how can one survive and progress afterall thats how we achieve things and progress
in our personal lives so why should communities be any different .If a communities view is constantly being ignored and undermined then that community has a right to choose if not then we become a suppressed nation without a voice .being able to choose is democracy in its basic form and we are democracy.

Here here… Whiston North Labour…. I have not received a letter door to door, however I must say that the investment that Labour made in Whiston HAS made a difference, Look at St Edmund Arrowsmith, previously a run down building, now a shining beacon of Labour investment, it serves not only the community for schooling but also supports and promotes further education, enrichment classes and sports for all in our local community. Take a look at Whiston hospital and the exceptional facilities available there now following investment. Whiston needed this and to be frank, Prescot Leisure centre is a dump.. It is always filthy and has been for a long time… why keep it open??

Nikki, I don’t think anyone’s denied that the Leisure Centre is in dire need of repair and refurbishment. Knowsley Council presented that as an option, and allowed Prescotians to give their views at a “consultation.” More people supported upgrading the present facilities than downgrading to a much smaller facility. I’ve still not heard an explanation why that was ignored. Also, well over 2,000 residents have put their name to signatures protesting the plans. No one’s suggesting leaving the centre in its present condition, which I agree is awful.

“Look at St Edmund Arrowsmith, previously a run down building, now a shining beacon of Labour investment, it serves not only the community for schooling but also supports and promotes further education, enrichment classes and sports for all in our local community.”

And the old building now has a bootcamp full of misfits, scrotes and other degenerates from across Knowlsey – nice one!
Whiston Hospital is a Govt and primary care trust investment – nothing to do with local council or labour input.
Abolish the rotten borough of Knowsley before the inbreds take over completely.
