(Press release: Prescot Town Council)

Around 4,000 local residents enjoyed the 2012 Prescot Carnival on Sunday 9th September. As regular readers will be aware the Carnival was postponed in July due to some of the worst weather conditions experienced in British summer time for 100 years.

Fortunately the sun was shining on Sunday which ensured that as many people as possible were able to come along and enjoy many of the free activities on offer which included a Rodeo Bull, Climbing Wall, Bouncy Castle, Cage football etc.

This was the first time the Carnival has been organised and delivered by members of the Town Council with support from local community groups. All those involved were extremely proud of just how well the event was received by residents on the day, with many of them taking a number of positive comments.

The Council would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped to make the event such a success with special thanks to Prescot Army Cadet Force whose wiliness on day and commitment to task was beyond praise.

We at Prescot Town Council are always trying to improve our level of service to the Residents of Prescot. If you have any ideas of how to improve the event for next year please email or call 0151 443 4796 to speak to a representative.
