Two Knowsley Council seats were contested in 4 April’s Prescot by-elections.
In Prescot West Ward, Lynne O’Keeffe (Labour) was elected with 44% of the vote, while in Prescot East, Steff O’Keeffe won with 58%.
Meanwhile, Carl Cashman took the Prescot North West seat on Prescot Town Council for the Liberal Democrats, with 54%.

Prescot West (Knowsley Council)
- Lynne O’Keeffe (Labour) – 44% (441 votes)
- Ian Smith (Liberal Democrats) – 40% (403 votes)
- Stephen Whatham (Trade Unions and Socialists Against Cuts) – 9% (86 votes)
- Robert Avery (Conservative) – 6% (62 votes)
- Robert Mbanu (Green) – 1% (14 votes)
Prescot East (Knowsley Council)
- Steff O’Keeffe (Labour) – 58% (515 votes)
- Carl Cashman (Liberal Democrats) – 37% (328 votes)
- Adam William Butler (Conservative) – 5% (47 votes)
Prescot North West (Prescot Town Council)
- Carl Cashman (Liberal Democrats) – 54% (346 votes)
- Bill Johnson (Labour) – 46% (291 votes)
