Free Things to Do in Prescot This Saturday, 18 May
There’s no shortage of free activities for all ages in Prescot and Whiston this weekend.
Willowbrook Hospice will be holding a Garden Party at Cedarwood Gardens, at its premises on Portico Lane, Prescot, L34 2QT. The event starts at 1.00pm, and there’ll be stalls, games, refreshments and, at 2.00pm, a Teddy Bears’ Picnic with the charity’s mascot, Brookie Bear. The party comes to an end at 4.00pm. Entry is free.
Just down the road, on Forest Close, Eccleston Park Tennis Club starts off its Adult Learners Week with a free Cardio Tennis session from 10.00 to 11.00am. Other free tennis fitness sessions and coaching sessions for beginners take place until Thursday 23 May. All ages are welcome.
Then further into Whiston, the Friends of Henley Park are holding a Good Neighbours Day, from 1.00 to 4.00pm. Family activities include a storyteller and a climbing wall, and entry is free. Henley Park is on the corner of Warrington Road and Delph Lane, opposite Whiston Hospital.
