Photos: Elizabethan Crafts in Prescot
Members of history society Prescot Renaissance demonstrated their crafting skills on Eccleston Street this weekend.
In an event to coincide with the monthly Prescot Producers’ Market, historian Rosemary Tyler donned period costume and spun whool. Other Renaissance members displayed herbs and served Elizabethan snacks, while visitors browsed an exhibition of vintage material from the group’s historical archives.
Prescot Renaissance meet at Space to Create, next to Margaret Rose on Eccleston Street, from 10.00am to 1.00pm every Thursday. All are welcome to drop by any time during opening hours to learn more about historic Prescot.
