Prescot Cables FC Raise £2k for New Pitch

Prescot CablesPrescot Cables Football Club have raised £2,000 in less than a month towards a new pitch.

With a poor playing surface and little external funding, the club set about fixing the problem by dividing the field into 100 squares and asking supporters to buy them up at £20 a pop.

Just a few weeks later, every inch of turf has found a sponsor. Supporters will be briefed on the moneys raised and the plans for renovation and maintenance at a meeting on Wednesday 5 June.
