Prescot Producers’ Market & Parish Summer Fun Day This Saturday

By on Tuesday, July 2, 2013

prescot_producers_marketThe forecast predicts warm, sunny weather for Prescot this weekend – perfect for the monthly Prescot Producers’ Market and this year’s Summer Fun Day at Prescot Parish Church.

The market runs from 9am to 2pm on Eccleston Street on Saturday 6 July, and promises the usual array of crafts, baked goods, deli treats and fresh produce.

From 10am to 2pm, the Summer Fun Day takes place outside the Parish Church. A highlight of the day will be church tower tours – a memorable experience well worth the modest entry fee. After descending the winding staircase to the top, visitors can enjoy spectacular views across Merseyside and beyond.

There’ll also be stalls, raffles, tombolas, games and live music, as well as refreshments. The church itself, minus the tower, will be open free to visitors. All proceeds go to the Church Roof Fund.

Although we expect dry conditions, indoor provisions are in place in case of an unexpected outbreak of typical British weather.

Please note: Tower tours are often in high – pardon the pun – demand, so come as early as possible in the day to reserve your spot.
