Tuesday 10 December The trial of Gerard Childs and Stephen Price for the murder of Jonathan Fitchett began at Liverpool Crown Court last Tuesday, 3 December. Prescot Online coverage so far:
Thursday 9 August Johnny Fitchett was laid to rest at Knowsley Cemetery, Whiston, yesterday, following his funeral at St Luke’s Catholic Church, Prescot.
Monday 5 August Childs and Price will stand trial for the murder of Jonathan Fitchett on 2 December. They’ll enter their pleas on 11 October.
Tuesday 30 July The hearing has been put back seven days to Monday 5 August.

Wednesday 17 July 17:20 The two men accused of Jonathan Fitchettt’s murder appeared before Liverpool Crown Court for a short hearing this morning. Gerard Childs and Stephen Price were told they’d be held in police custody until a preliminary hearing scheduled for Monday 29 July.

Monday 15 July 16:45 Gerard Childs, 27, of Rainhill, and Stephen Price, 28, of Prescot, appeared in Liverpool Magistrates’ Court this morning.
In separate hearings, each was informed his case would be heard before Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday 17 July.
Both stand accused of the murder of Prescot man Jonathan Fitchett, 22. He was brutally beaten by four men on Thursday 11 July and died in Whiston Hospital the following day.
