Jonathan, a former pupil of St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School in Whiston, was viciously assaulted by four men on Thursday 11 July, at Cables Retail Park, Prescot. The attack took place shortly before 1.30pm, in front of dozens of potential witnesses.
He suffered severe head injuries and cardiac arrest, and died in Whiston Hospital on Friday 12 July.
