Below, press release (Knowsley Council):

The largest free horticultural show in the North West returns to Knowsley on Sunday, August 4.

The Knowsley Flower Show, now in its 15th year, is back at Court Hey Park in Huyton from 11am-5pm and is expected to draw crowds of around 20,000 revellers.

At its heart once again will be the floral marquee – a blaze of colour housing hundreds of fantastic horticultural displays, entered into more than 100 classes.

In addition, there’s plenty to keep visitors of all ages entertained at the Main Arena, which will this year host H&M Dog Display, Kuk Sool won Martial Arts and for the first year Guide Dogs for the Blind and Mersey Morris Men strutting their stuff!

Children will love the free face painting, circus skills, craft activities and pottery.

There will also be a giant Craft Marquee, Geraud Produce Food Market, health and wellbeing area, Community Marquee and the Marketplace Marquee which will house several businesses in Knowsley and offer advice on how to start your own business.

A Food for Thought marquee, sponsored by the Love Food Hate Waste campaign will have lots of advice and recipes to encourage people to cook from scratch and not waste food.

And Knowsley Community College and KCC Live will be based on The Clearing this year offering further education advice, great entertainment and the opportunity for radio workshops.

There is limited car parking on site, so residents are urged to use the free shuttle buses operating in and around Knowsley. See the website for timetables.
