Prescot Cemetery Clean-up Begins

clean_up_4Over two dozen volunteers spent their Sunday afternoon cleaning up Prescot Cemetery.

Members of the Friends of Prescot Cemetery picked up litter, pulled weeds, swept walkways and removed dead flowers, pausing occasionally for a well-earned cuppa.

They meet again on Tuesday 10 September, from 6pm till dark, and have more clean-up operations in the pipeline. They welcome all volunteers to join them.

The group hope to get grants to make big improvements to the graveyard, making it more welcome to visitors and a more fitting tribute to Prescot’s loved ones.
