Young Actors Reimagine Scrooge as Liverpool Tale

Young actors from across the borough are rehearsing for their version of Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, which relocates Ebenezer Scrooge in Victorian Liverpool.

Knowsley Youth Theatre have teamed up with educational drama group Altru to produce the play. They hope to repeat the success of last year’s Christmas show, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

“The young people are bringing to life a wonderful story, showing how Christmas could be celebrated by everyone,” said Altru’s Sean Di Sora.

“We hope the play will bring the community together and the audience will be amazed to see how talented young people from Knowsley are.”

The performance takes place at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park on Sunday 15 December at 6.30pm. Tickets are £6, and you can book in advance by calling 0151 443 2200.
