Prescot Soccer & Leisure Centre Opens 14 October
The new Prescot Soccer and Leisure Centre opens on Monday 14 October, but you can sneak a peak at Saturday’s family open day.
The facility, on Warrington Road, replaces Prescot Leisure Centre, which occupied the now-demolished BICC canteen.
The centre has new 3G pitches, which opened in July, and a building containing a fitness suite, changing rooms, and a bar and cafe.
Gym membership costs £13.50 upwards, and equipment includes treadmills, cross-trainers, rowing machines, kettlebells and medicine balls.
Pitch hire discounts are available for FA-affiliated teams, and the Knowsley Junior League have already signed up to use them regularly. Adult football leagues are in the pipeline.
Free coaching sessions, sports activities, prize draws and children’s activities take place from 9am to 1pm on Saturday 12 October.
Call Knowsley Council on 0151 443 2200 or visit www.activeknowsley.com for more information.
