New Bus Service Connects Prescot & Whiston to Knowsley Leisure Centre

KnowsleyLCPA new evening and Sunday bus service provides Prescot and Whiston residents with access to Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park.

Route 264, operated by ACE Travel on behalf of Merseytravel, runs from Halewood to Huyton every hour.

The bus starts from Halewood Shopping Centre at 6.48pm Monday to Saturday, arriving in Whiston via Windy Arbour Road at 7.15pm, Whiston Hospital at 7.22pm, Prescot Bus Station at 7.27pm and Huyton Bus Station at 7.41pm.

The route takes it down Longview Drive, Huyton, stopping at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park. The leisure centre provides Prescot’s nearest swimming baths, following the closure of Scotchbarn Pool in 2011.

The 264 also passes through Netherley and Tarbock, via Cronton Road.


The return leg departs at 7.55pm from Huyton, with the last service at 9.55pm.

Sunday services leave Halewood on the hour, every hour, from 8.48am to 9.48pm, with the last return journey leaving Huyton Bus Station at 9.55pm.
