Police Release CCTV Pic of Man Linked to Prescot Bank Robbery
Merseyside Police have released a CCTV image of a man who may be able to help them investigate a robbery at Royal Bank of Scotland in Prescot.
The bank, on the corner of High Street and Leyland Street in Prescot town centre, was robbed at about 4.40pm on Friday 14 February.
A man, thought to be carrying a weapon, threatened staff and escaped with cash.
“This was a frightening experience for the members of staff in the bank who although weren’t hurt in the incident have been left shaken,” said DS Paul Speight.
“We take incidents of this nature extremely seriously and ask anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time to contact us in case they have information that could help our enquiries.
“We are particularly keen to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV as we believe he has information that could help the investigation and urge him, or anyone who recognises him, to contact us.”
Anyone with information that could help the investigation can contact detectives at Knowsley CID on 0151 777 6570, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
