Blues Legend Graeme Sharp Opens Prescot Soccer Centre
Former footballer Graeme Sharp officially opened the new Prescot Soccer and Leisure Centre earlier this week.
Although the Warrington Road facility opened to the public in October 2013, the one-time Everton striker unveiled a plaque at a formal ceremony.
The complex cost £1.4 million and replaces Prescot Leisure Centre with seven 3G pitches, changing facilities, a cafe and a fitness suite.
Cllr Brian O’Hare, the Mayor of Knowsley, said the “fantastic facility is helping to make football accessible and fun, while also providing local residents with a convenient and affordable way to keep fit.”
The centre is open seven days a week, and pitches are available to book now. Discounts on pitch bookings are available to FA-affiliated teams.
A one-card fitness membership for the centre starts from £13.50 per month with a Knowsley Passport to Leisure.
