4-3 Win for Prescot Hockey Club Over-40s
Via David Johnson (Prescot Hockey Club):
Prescot Veterans 4-3 North Over-55s

In a re-run of a game played earlier in the season, Prescot entertained the North over 55s in a friendly warm-up match.
Players from afar a field as Hull, Lincoln and York, as well as North West-based clubs, made the trip to Sutton.
The Prescot Vets, in their new kit, started slowly and probably had the better chances, but found themselves two goals down to the very skilful Over-55s.
Within minutes, however, the Vets had scored two goals, with Gary Maher finishing their next penalty corner and Ste Worrall slotting in from the top of the D.
The Vets then upped the tempo with some crisp passing leading to Worral’s second and a great fourth goal from Mark Heaps, who blasted in on the turn.
At 4-2, with only minutes to play, some defensive errors cost Prescot a sloppy goal, and the Over-55s pressed hard to the end.
Prescot won 4-3. A massive thank-you to the umpires, Mel and Jenny.
More Vets hockey is planned for the Summer.
