A 33-year-old man from Whiston has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of his former stepfather, 52, also from Whiston.

Nathan Kenny deliberately hit Mike Fennah (pictured) with his car on Scott Avenue on the morning of 17 December 2013.

He died of head injuries, and Kenny was arrested later the same day.

Kenny originally denied a charge of murder, but at Liverpool Crown Court today (Tuesday 13 May), he accepted a lesser charge of manslaughter.

Judge David Aubrey, QC, will pass sentence this Friday, 16 May.
