Salvation Army Commemorates WWI Centenary
The Salvation Army will be in Prescot this Saturday, 26 July, to commemorate 100 years since the outbreak of World War One.
The North Western Division Brass Band will play a moving selection of hymns between 10am and 11.30am at Prescot Shopping Centre.
The church’s emergency response vehicle will also be on site, offering free tea and coffee to all visitors.
As well as honouring the men who laid down their lives, the Salvation Army will display educational literature highlighting the role its own organisation played during the war.
