Knowsley Flower Show This Weekend
Via Knowsley Council:
Don’t miss the Knowsley Flower Show on Sunday!
The largest free horticultural show in the North West returns to Knowsley on Sunday 3 August, 11am to 5pm, and promises to be a great family day out!
The Knowsley Flower Show will commemorate the centenary of the First World War, with a red, white and blue theme, which will be reflected in the children’s classes. Local soldiers will be in World War I uniform greeting visitors as they arrive at Court Hey Park and will host question and answer sessions throughout the day.
Prescot Museum will stage a range of WWI themed exhibits including a replica trench complete with audio visual effects.
As always there will be something for visitors of all ages to enjoy at the show including the H&M Dog Display team, Mersey Morris Men, face painting, fairground rides as well as the craft marquee and produce market.
All of this is in addition to the stunning floral marquee with its impressive blaze of colour from the flowers, vegetables and fruit which are entered into the many categories of fantastic horticultural displays.
A free shuttle bus will operate from locations across the borough to the show ground. Car parking is limited so visitors are encouraged to use the free shuttles. Bus timetables are available on the show’s website.
