New M&S Prescot Store to Open October 2014
Marks & Spencer will open their new Prescot branch of M&S Simply Food next month.
The 8,500-square-foot store at Cables Retail Park opens to customers at 10am on Wednesday 1 October.
As well as M&S’s own range of 4,500 food and drink products, the new outlet promises an on-site bakery and a 50-seater cafe. Customers will also be able to use the Shop Your Way scheme, ordering from M&S.com online or in-store and getting free delivery or collecting from the store the next day.
The company says the Prescot store creates 57 local job opportunities.
Its biggest competitor will be supermarket Tesco Extra, located at the other end of the retail park.
Other recent additions to Cables Retail Park include a Subway sandwich store and a Carphone Warehouse. TJ-Morris-owned Home Bargains are also planning a new superstore, with a garden centre and cafe, nearby.
