Knowsley Council Loses CEO amid Budget Cuts
Sheena Ramsey will step down from her role as Knowsley Council Chief Executive.
In a statement issued this morning, Knowsley Council said Ramsey agreed to take voluntary redundancy as the council faces “unprecedented government cuts” of about £26 million over the next two years.
In 2013, Ms Ramsey received a salary of £189,222, totalling £227,034 when factoring in pension and other benefits.
Other senior officers will go as the council restructures, and an estimated 200 other staff face redundancy to make savings.
Knowsley Council Leader Cllr Ron Round said, “On behalf of the Council, I would like to thank Sheena Ramsey for her work and contribution to Knowsley during the last 9 and a half years and offer her our very best wishes for the future.”
