New Tree Remembers Dedicated Rainhill Couple
Volunteers at Rainhill Village Hall have planted a silver birch tree in memory of a much-loved local couple.
The late Warren Ryland was a member of the hall’s management committee, and helped with general maintenance over the years. He played a key role in helping secure Lottery funding to extend the building.
His late wife, Helen, was a member of the Townswomen’s Guild. Both were very active and well-known in the community.
Chris Tigwell donated the tree, which was planted in the grounds during a ceremony on Saturday 4 October. Family and friends paid for a plaque inside the hall.
