Knowsley Council: £94 Million in Cuts Since 2009
Knowsley has faced £60 million in government cuts and will face another £34m in the future, according to a video released by the borough council in December.
The new £34m Budget Challenge campaign calls on Knowsley residents to help save money by ending littering and fly-tipping, recycling more, and shopping locally to boost the economy and help create jobs.
The council also say millions could be saved if residents used services online instead of in person, more people signed up to offer foster care, and the elderly were able to live independently rather than going into nursing homes.
Earlier this year, KMBC restructured their senior management team, losing CEO Sheena Ramsey, and announced 130 further job losses.
