New Poundbakery Opens in Prescot (Plus – Get a Free Pasty!)
Poundbakery has opened its first shop in Prescot.
The bakery, advertising “tasty baking at tasty prices,” replaces Sayers, which closed its cafe and prepared for refurbishment earlier in January. The new store will have no cafe.
The Poundbakery chain has over three dozen outlets across the North West, and its appeal lies in its low prices, with sandwiches, pies, cakes and other freshly baked goods available for a pound or less.
The store is a rival to Prescot town centre bakeries Waterfields and Greggs on Eccleston Street and, to a lesser extent, the historic M Ray’s on High Street.
“There are lots of products that the team are learning about,” said Poundbakery Area Manager Sue Ford, “and we’re focusing on delivering the outstanding customer service that Poundbakery customers expect.”
