Prescot Head Teacher Judy Walker has paid tribute to Terry Hall, the 13-year-old Knowsley Park student who died yesterday (Thursday 30 January).

“Terry was an extremely popular boy who was always happy and cheerful,” she wrote.

“He was always keen to learn and particularly loved general knowledge and memorising interesting facts. He’ll certainly be remembered for the lovely smile that he always had.

“Everyone at the school is devastated at this tragic loss of a young boy who was so full of fun and had so much potential.”

Children at the school are being supported by specially trained staff and a Book of Remembrance has been opened for them to share their thoughts and memories of Terry.

The teenager was found dead in Stadt Moers Park, Whiston/Huyton Quarry, at about 1pm on Thursday. Police and the coroner are investigating the circumstances, which they do not consider suspicious.
