Brass Band Back in Town
Parr Band will be back in town on Friday 13 March, to perform at a Proms-style fundraiser for the Prescot Festival.
The local brass ensemble are in concert at 7pm at Prescot Parish Church. Tickets are only £6 on the door, and a stirring programme will include such patriotic favourites as ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘Land of Hope and Glory.’
The event will raise money for the 11th Annual Prescot Festival of Music & the Arts, which takes place from Friday 19 to Sunday 28 June 2015.
Brass bands feature heavily in this year’s festival line-up, with a return visit from award-winning Foden’s Band, as well as a special screening of the 1996 comedy-drama Brassed Off (fish-and-chip supper included).
