Easter Fun in Prescot Town Centre
There’s lots of fun lined up this Easter Saturday (4 April) in Prescot.
As well as the usual Prescot Producers’ Market from 9am to 2pm, free family activities on Eccleston Street include face painting, a bouncy castle, Easter bonnet making and pet bunny rabbit handling. All take place between 10am and 2pm.
Children from the Jan Williams School of Dancing will perform to celebrate the opening of the Dance Shop – the latest Win-a-Shop winner – in Prescot Shopping Centre.
Plus, last year’s Win-a-Shop winner, Grace Lea, will be holding workshop downstairs in the shopping centre from 12 noon to 3pm. Non-paying participants are welcome to watch a demonstration of owner Cheryl’s furniture upcycling skills in action.
Prescot Town Team and its partners will be officially launching Loveprescot.co.uk, a new website to promote Prescot as a destination for shopping, leisure and tourism. They’ll also announce the winner of the Love Prescot photo competition, who gets a bottle of Champagne and a £30 shopping voucher.
To round off the day’s events, Knowsley Council will announce the winner of the town centre’s Best Dressed Easter Window competition.
Edit: There’s also a free Easter hat workshop for kids at Prescot Library, between 12.30pm and 3pm. Children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
