Knowsley Scrutiny Committee Open to Suggestions

By on Wednesday, April 8, 2015

How do you think Knowsley Council is performing? What issues should it be tackling in Prescot and Whiston?

Knowsley’s Overview and Scrutiny Board wants your ideas on what issues to review over the next year.

According to a council press release, last year’s survey resulted in “examining how the council can attract and deliver investment into the borough’s key business parks and how welfare reform has impacted on residents, particularly those in crisis.”

By law, every local council must have an Overview and Scrutiny Committee, made up of non-executive/cabinet councillors, whose role is to keep cabinet members and council officers accountable.

If you’d like to see Knowsley examining a particular issue, or you have concerns you think the committee should scrutinise, you can contact the Overview and Scrutiny Board in one of three ways:

  • Email scrutiny@knowsley.gov.uk
  • Write to Democratic Services, Municipal Buildings, Archway Road, Huyton, L36 9YS
  • Phone 0151 443 3367/3760
