Prescot Remembers: Photo Gallery
Prescotians gathered on a dry and unseasonably mild November morning to commemorate Remembrance Day.
A ‘Field of Poppies‘ created by the Friends of Prescot Cemetery & Churchyard surrounded the BI War Memorial, which honours the soldiers of British Insulated and Helsby Cables who died in the First World War (1914-1918).
Councillors, clergy, schoolchildren, veterans and civilians took part in the ceremony, organised by Prescot Town Council and led by the Vicar of Prescot, Reverend Canon John Taylor, with the assistance of Monsignor Anthony Dennick of Our Lady & St Joseph’s Church.
Prescot Online presents this exclusive album to mark the occasion, featuring photos by St Helens photographer Christopher Lyon.
Please feel free to show your appreciation by visiting and ‘Liking’ his Facebook page, Christopher Lyon Photography.
