Police Appeal for Information on Whiston Family Centre Burglary
Merseyside Police is appealing for information following a burglary at Whiston Family Centre on Monday 11 January.
Officers were called to the premises on Old Colliery Road after reports the centre had been burgled sometime between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
Six paint ball guns were stolen during the incident. These are described as replica MP5 paintball guns (similar to that pictured below), and it is possible they have been offered for sale in the area.
CCTV from the centre and surrounding area is being sought, and the scene has been forensically examined.
Inspector Graeme Webster said: “This is a community centre and the theft of these paint ball guns means members of the community can no longer use this resource.
“It’s possible these paintball guns are being used by criminals in the area or are being offered for sale. I’d urge anyone who has any information about their whereabouts to contact 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
