Freezing Temperatures Make Roads & Pavements a Hazard
By Prescot Online on Friday, January 15, 2016
Two cars collided in Whiston this morning (Friday 15 January), as the region was hit by freezing temperatures.
The crash happened on Ropers Bridge, which connects Dragon Lane to Windy Arbor Road in Whiston Village. Police at the scene said there had been no injuries, and they expected the road to be open again by about 8.30am or 9am.
Prescot Online readers have reported ice, black ice and frost making driving conditions poor. Some have had near misses due to the slippery roads.
Readers are also warned to be careful underfoot, too.
