Prescot Hockey Club: January 2016 News
Via David Johnson, an update on Prescot Hockey Club’s progress:
Prescot Ladies’ First Team 3-0 Manchester Moss Park
The Ladies’ First continued their recent run of form with a third win in four games. Dominating from the start, Prescot created several chances against Manchester, and the goals came through a great team effort via Mel Heaps, Faye Lyons-Boulton and Liz Carr.
Prescot Men’s First Team 6-4 South Lakes
Prescot continued to dominate in the North West League 3 with another six-goal haul against a strong South Lakes team. Goals from Mortimer, Lomax, Johnson and Boulton secured the points. The win keeps Prescot at the top of the table with seven games to go.
Prescot Men’s Seconds 6-1 Wigan Seconds
A local derby with a twist, as a half time nil-nil turned into a goal festival in the last 20 minutes. Wigan scored from the restart, which only spurred Prescot on. Goals from Maher, Foster, Talbot and Boardman, and two from Jones in the space of 18 minutes, secured a much-needed win for the twos.
