Mother Goose in Town One More Weekend
All your favourite fairy tale characters – including the White Rabbit, Humpty Dumpty and the King and Queen of Hearts – are returning to Prescot this weekend.
Mother Goose & the Quest for the Golden Egg opened last weekend in Prescot Vicarage Gardens, and you can still catch one of six performances on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 April.
This outdoor family adventure is the work of MATE Productions, the Prescot-based theatre company that pairs up ordinary members of the community with creative professionals. Their previous successes since arriving at Cockpit House – the former Prescot Museum – have included The Wizard’s Quest and Shakespeare‘s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Performances are at 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 April, starting outside Prescot Parish Church. Tickets are just £5.50 for adults and £4.40 for children, and under-2s go free. Buy in advance from Poco Coffee at 30 Eccleston Street or online at www.mateproductions.co.uk.
