Halloween in Prescot, 2016

halloweenThere’s lots going on over the Halloween season in and around Prescot, Whiston and Rainhill this year.

Thursday 27  October

Kick off your Halloween celebrations with a Halloween Afternoon Tea at Whiston Town Hall on Thursday 27 October, between 12.30pm and 4.30pm. There’ll be bingo, live entertainment and a raffle, and tickets are £5. All proceeds go to WICH, the charitable group set up to build a memorial chapel at Knowsley Cemetery in Whiston. Friday 28 October

Children can drop in to Prescot Library between 3pm and 4pm on Friday 28 October for free Halloween Card Making (suitable for 5yrs+).

phoenix-night-2016Then, from 5pm to 9pm at Bryer Road, it’s the annual Phoenix Night Event, with fun for all ages, including breakdancing showcase and workshops, climbing wall, family funfair and live magic. A fireworks display is at 8pm (weather-permitting). Entry is free. Please note that there is no on-site parking. Prescot Cables Retail Park has free parking and is just a five- to ten-minute walk away.

Saturday 29 October

On Saturday 29 OctoberAlbion Bakehouse (Leyland Street) celebrates its 1st birthday. Pop in between 9.30am and 5pm to sample some of Nina’s baked goodies and join in the Halloween excitement. Prizes will be up for grabs!

Later the same day, the Deanes House pub is getting spooky, with dance music from 7.30pm till midnight upstairs, and pop/rock duo Caution from 7.30pm downstairs. Entry is free, and there’s a free shot if you come in Halloween fancy dress. There’ll be prizes for the best fancy dress (female/male categories), too!

Nearby at The Old Mill pub, enjoy a Halloween Party, with a £20 bar on offer for the best fancy dress. The event starts at 8pm, and entry is £3 (free entry if you’re wearing fancy dress, plus a drink on the house).

Down the road in Rainhill, Rainhill Gala presents a Spookier by Night at 7.30pm at Rainhill Village Hall. Find out more about this Halloween disco on the official Facebook page.

Alternatively, stop by the Manor Farm pub, Rainhill, from 7pm to midnight for an ’80s-themed Halloween Party.

Sunday 30 October

Come Sunday 30 OctoberStation Coffee House invite you to their fashionable eatery (at Prescot Station, Bridge Road) at 4pm for a Family Halloween Fright Fest. Sunday 30 October . 4pm . Station Coffee House, Bridge Road, Prescot. There’s food and creepy fun for all ages, and tickets are £7. Visit the official Facebook event page for full information.
