Five Men Arrested for Burglary in Prescot

Merseyside Police can confirm that five men were arrested on suspicion of burglary in the early hours of Thursday morning (6 October).

At around 2.40am on Thursday, patrols found an insecure Ford C-max car on Speakman Way that appeared to have been broken in to. Officers then searched the area and found a Ford Focus car that had been crashed into a fence on Kenneth Close. Five men seen nearby then ran away and were subsequently detained and arrested by officers.

Further enquiries then revealed that a burglary had occurred at an address in Kenneth Close from where the Ford Focus had been stolen.

The men aged 26, 19, 18 and two youths aged 15 were taken to a police station and interviewed by detectives. They have now been placed on police bail as the enquiries continue.
