Visit Santa in Prescot, Christmas 2016

Santa’s coming to Prescot this Christmas!
Scrooge & Santa at Prescot Shopping Centre
Come along to Prescot Shopping Centre on Saturday 3 December to see MATE Productions’ A Pop-up Christmas Carol, a hilarious 30-minute retelling of the story of Scrooge, and visit Santa in his grotto. Christmasy crafts, a gift and a photograph are all included in the £6 price per child. Accompanying adults pay £2.50 each. Entry is on the hour every hour between 10am and 4pm.

Santa’s Grotto at Whitakers Garden Centre
Father Christmas will be putting down roots at Whitakers Garden Centre on Derby Street from 3 December to Christmas. Times are 9.15am to 4pm Saturdays, 10am to 3pm Sundays and 1pm-4.3opm Monday to Friday (3pm Thursday). Finally, on Saturday 24 December, Christmas Eve, Santa’s grotto will be open from 9.15am to 12.30pm.
Visit Santa at Knowsley Safari Park
Alternatively, see Santa at Knowsley Safari Park this festive season. He’ll be waiting with his elves from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays 3 to 4 and 1 to 11 December, and then every day from 10am to 4pm from Wednesday 16 December to Christmas Eve.
Prices are £6 for a visit with gift, plus £5 for a framed photograph (2 for £8, 3 for £10). Keyrings are £4 (2 for £6, 3 for £7.50).
Santa’s Sleigh (Rotary Club)
The Rotary Club have invited Santa and his sleigh to tour Prescot, Whiston and Rainhill as usual this year. The dates are as follows:
Sunday 4 December Knowsley Village from 5pm, area bounded by Longmeadow Road, Ormskirk Road and Tithebarn Road
Monday 5 December Eccleston Park from 6pm, beginning at Whiston Fire Station on Delph Lane, through Sandstone Drive estate and Scotchbarn Lane areas
Tuesday 6 December Rainhill from 6pm. Area around the Holt Hotel, bounded by Warrington Road, Cartmel Road, Chatsworth Road, Holt Lane, Two Butt Lane and Sandhurst Road
Wednesday 7 December Prescot from 6pm, from Warrington Road, through Ash Grove, Kingsway, Bryer Road and Shaw Lane to Dragon Lane
Thursday 8 December Rainhill from 6pm, from the Rocket pub, crossing Warrington Road at Ivy Farm Road, through Longton Lane, King Edward Road and Ellerslie Avenue to Rainhill Road
Sunday 11 December Eccleston Park, 4pm to 8pm. A double round, starting in St James Road, including neighbouring streets of Bretherton Road, Maryville Road, Hawthorn Road, Laurel Road, Derwent Avenue
Tuesday 13 December Prescot, from 6pm. St Helens Road, through the new estate and on to Knowsley Park Lane, Park Road, Stanley Crescent, Hope Street
Wednesday 14 December Whiston, from 6pm, starting at Windy Arbor Road, through Cronton Lane, Willis Lane, Long Hey, Halton Hey, Nicholas Road, Halsnead Avenue and Bishop Drive
