Lancashire Museum Trail Wants Historical Prescot Objects
Curators at Prescot Museum are hoping to add an object from their archives to a new regional museum trail called ‘A History of Lancashire in 70 Objects.’
They are calling on local people to help by voting for something from their historical collection.
Prescot is included because, although it is in the modern-day county of Merseyside, it is part of Lancashire by history and tradition.
The five shortlisted objects (pictured) are a John Bull watch, a box of files from Saggerson & Co, a BI Cables toy, a framed set of tiny watch hands by William Preston, and an Edwardian watch awarded to Private James Dancer.
You can find out more about each object and nominate your favourite at surveymonkey.com.
