Motorcyclist Stable in Hospital after Whiston Collision
A 35-year-old man from Whiston is in hospital with serious injuries after his motorbike collided with a larger vehicle shortly before 12.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 7 March).
The man, whose condition is described as stable and non-life-threatening, was taken to Fazakerley Hospital after his blue Suzuki bike collided with a people carrier near the junction of Lickers Lane and Pennywood Drive, Whiston.
He suffered head and chest injuries, as well as a fractured leg, and is expected to remain in hospital for a few days.
Following the incident, Lickers Lane was cordoned off between Windy Arbor Road and Manorwood Drive until about 6pm, while police investigated what happened.
No injuries to other pedestrians, drivers or passengers were reported. The driver of the other vehicle, a grey Toyota Previa, stopped at the scene but was unharmed.
It is too early for police to determine the cause of the collision.
Witnesses or anyone with information about the incident should contact Merseyside Police on 101 or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
