By on Friday, March 10, 2017

The woodlands of Prescot Parish Church and Vicarage will be transformed into the jungles of India for a spectacular outdoor theatrical production this Easter.

MATE presents Jungle Book – A Walkabout Adventure, based on the famous tale by Rudyard Kipling.

Join the wolf pack in their den, sing along with Baloo the bear and King Louis in the Monkey Kingdom, and go on a quest to the human village, as the boy Mowgli discovers who he is and where he belongs.

The family show follows the success of A Christmas CarolThe Fool’s Tale and Shakespeare’s As You Like It for the Prescot-based community theatre company.

Three walkabout shows take place each day on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 April 2017, with starting times of 1pm, 2.15pm and 3.30pm. Each is followed by jungle-themed arts and crafts activities.

Tickets for this wild and entertaining experience are £6.50 for adults, £5.50 for children and free for under-1s. A family ticket is £22.

Audience members should arrive 10 minutes early outside Prescot Parish Church, wearing suitable clothing and footwear for the weather.

Buy your tickets online at, or in person at All That Glam, Jessies Jewels and Poco Coffee in Prescot town centre (on sale from Monday 13 March).
