Event: View the Plans for Shakespeare North’s Prescot Theatre

The public are invited to view plans for a 328-seat theatre in Prescot.

Charitable trust Shakespeare North are following a design by Inigo Jones (1573-1652), one of modern England’s earliest and most important architects.

The complex will also house a university and education centre, the only of its kind dedicated to Shakespearean acting technique.

Residents can see the plans and speak to representatives from Shakespeare North and Knowsley Council at Prescot Parish Church on Thursday 28 September, between 7pm and 8.30pm.

As well as viewing illustrations and models of the arts complex, visitors can take part in a consultation about how exhibition space will be used.

Work is expected to begin on the site, currently the Mill Street Car Park, in early 2018.
