The family of a Prescot man murdered on Tuesday 10 October have spoken of their grief.

“Our beautiful, kind and gentle Tommy has been cruelly, savagely taken away from us,” the family of Thomas Grace said in a tribute released through Merseyside Police.

“Our mum’s only son adored his children and lived for his family. It wasn’t his time to go.

“Please, if anyone knows anything, however small, we beg you to contact the police.”

Tommy, 54, known locally as ‘Tommy Two Steps,’ was stabbed on the edge of the Beaconsfield estate, off Cyprus Street in Prescot town centre.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 9.30pm on Tuesday, but Tommy died a short while later in hospital.

Dale Murray, 31, of no fixed abode, has been charged with the murder.

Anyone with information is urged to call Merseyside Police on 0151 777 6041, the non-emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Information can also be provided via their online form.
