Remembrance Day in Prescot, 2017
Remembrance commemorations take place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 November in Prescot this year.
On Armistice Day itself, Saturday 11 November, a Civic Act of Remembrance by Prescot Town Council takes place by the BI Memorial in Prescot Cemetery. Proceedings begin at 10.50am, with the traditional silence at 11am.
On 11 November, Remembrance Sunday, Prescot’s parade gathers at 10.15am at Prescot County Primary School on Maryville Road and the march starts at 10.25am.
The Civic Service of Remembrance begins at 10.50am at the War Memorial off Market Place, continuing in Prescot Parish Church.
The parade returns to Maryville for refreshments at approximately 12.20pm.
