Pirates Back in Prescot for One Day Only
MATE Productions’ stage hit Treasure Island is back in Prescot for one day only on Saturday 14 July.
The Prescot-based theatre company have been touring the North West throughout June and July, beginning at Liverpool’s Unity Theatre before taking the show to a host of outdoor venues, including Croxteth Hall, Ness Gardens in Cheshire, and St James’s Gardens in the grounds of Liverpool Cathedral.
In August, they’re headed for the Edinburgh Fringe, but first they’re giving their hometown a last chance to see the fun-filled buccaneering adventure.
Get to know young Jim Hawkins as he navigates the globe in search of buried treasure, befriending Long John Silver and his parrot, Captain Flint, along the way. Treasure Island has swashbuckling action, laugh-out-loud comedy and music and dance numbers in a fast-paced show perfect for all ages.
Show times are 2pm and 7pm on Saturday 14 July in Prescot’s ‘woodland theatre,’ in the grounds of Prescot Parish Church and Vicarage.
Why not bring along a picnic and make a day of it? MATE’s Prescot productions are often a sell-out, so get your tickets in advance from Jessie & Co at 11 Leyland Street, or buy online at Ticket Quarter. Prices start at £8.80, with group and family discounts.
