Eccleston Street Improvements: Find out More

Eccleston Street in Prescot town centre will be the first to benefit from a Liverpool City Region funding boost of £14 million.

The investment, announced in June, is earmarked for improvements to transport in the town.

In the long-term, it will help with major upgrades to Prescot Rail Station, including a remodelled car park and additional lifts, together with new pedestrian/cycle facilities and wayfinding signage between the station and town centre.

The first phase of funding will go into Eccleston Street, however, to include the renewal of the current paving with high quality materials, upgrades to street furniture and improved access for pedestrians.

Residents can view the plans at Prescot Heritage Hub (53 Eccleston Street) between 9am and 6pm on Friday 20 July. Drop in any time to see the proposals and talk to the team behind the project.
