Cables Take on Kendal in FA Trophy
Prescot Cables FC hope to put their recent poor form behind them as they take on Kendal Town in the FA Trophy.
They play at home this Saturday, 13 October, in the prestigious knockout competition. Kick-off is at 3pm at Volair Park on Hope Street, Prescot.
The club are using the occasion to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK. In the UK, one person every 45 minutes is diagnosed with prostate cancer, a statistic that will resonate with all football fans. There will be a collection throughout the game to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic cause.
Saturday is also national Non-League Day, now in its ninth year, when football fans everywhere are encouraged to go and support their local non-league team during the international break. The club are hoping that this will mean there is a bumper crowd this Saturday as fans look for a local football fix.
Cables go into the match having lost their last two games, their last victory coming against Sheffield FC in the same competition earlier this month.
Admission is: £8 Adults, £4 Concessions, Children £1.
