MATE Brings Magic to the Woodlands
MATE Productions enchanted audiences with their latest theatrical fairy tale last weekend, and they’re ready to take their show to three other venues.
The Prescot-based community theatre company opened Willo the Wisp & the Fire Sprite in Halewood on Saturday 20 October, before bringing the walkabout experience to the woodlands of Prescot Parish Church and Vicarage on Sunday.
Sold-out crowds were led by a wizard through a troll’s den, a gnome village and the Wispy Woods as the Fire King set out on a magical journey to rescue the kidnapped Princess Ember.
Original music by Taran Harris, fiery effects by Holly Blue and poetry and rhyme penned collectively by the 37-strong cast were among the spellbinding elements of the 90-minute family show.
