Talent Wanted for Knowsley’s Shine 2019 Showcase

(Via Knowsley Council) Calling all performers, singers, actors, dancers, musicians, poets, magicians… in fact anyone with a talent to share! Applications are now open for you to take centre stage at this year’s prestigious Shine talent competition in Knowsley.

The Shine 2019 event takes place on Friday, 18 October and promises to be a fantastic evening of entertainment – and the search is now on for performers aged from 1 to 100 to be part of it.

This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals or groups to showcase their talent to an audience of more than 300 at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park in Huyton. Whether you’re a first-time performer or a more experienced showman, being part of Shine is an unforgettable experience – performing on a real stage at a prestigious event in front of a big audience.

Last year, audiences at the first ever Shine were entertained by singers, dancers, gymnasts and actors – and this year the stage is open to all, once again. So if you have a connection with Knowsley and you can sing, dance, act or perhaps you’re a budding magician, gymnast, comedian, musician, poet or have some other act which will work well, then Shine 2019 could be for you.

Cllr Shelley Powell, Knowsley Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities and Neighbourhoods, said: “We know that there are some incredible talents out there in Knowsley – from musicians to magicians, artists to acrobats! Shine is a chance for anyone with a passion for entertaining to take to the big stage and show the whole borough what they can do… and who knows where it might lead?”

How do I take part in Shine 2019?

If you a talent to showcase at Shine 2019, then what are you waiting for?

Information about eligibility and how to enter can be found on the council’s website or on the Shine 2019 Facebook page. You’ll need to fill in an application form and provide a short video audition which gives a flavour of your performance.
