Prescot Elizabethan Fayre, Saturday, 28 May, 2011
Celebrate Prescot’s rich heritage and history when the Elizabethan Fayre comes to town on Saturday.
From 10am to 2.30pm on Church Street, in front of the historic Parish Church of St Mary’s, Prescot will come alive with stalls, crafts, games, street entertainment and animals.
Highlights of the 16th-century-themed event will include an array of creatures from Knowsley Safari Park and free horse-and-cart rides. Visitors with a head for heights can scale the church tower and enjoy views for miles around. The spire is believed to be the highest point above sea level in Merseyside.
The Elizabethan Fayre is free and suitable for all ages.
